Lucy Ryan

Lucy Ryan

Founding Director of Positive Insights, Lucy is one of only a handful of people in Europe with an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and is at the forefront of the development of positive psychology in Europe. Together with the University of East London, Lucy is also currently engaged in the development and implementation of a Well-Being Curriculum for the Haberdasher’s Aske’s Hatcham College and the creation of an Emotional Resilience Curriculum for Newham PCT. She is also an Associate Lecturer at the University of East London and specialises in the application of positive psychology to organisations.

Lucy is one of the UK’s foremost personal impact coaches for senior business people (including leaders from Sony, Siemens, the BBC, RAC, Leeds Building Society, Daily Mail and UNICEF). To this end, she is a certified as an NLP Master Practitioner, a TA trainer and licensed to administrate both the MSCEIT (the EI Ability Test) and the Strengths Deployment Inventory.

Through the customer service training company she founded in 1997, (www.mindspring.uk.com), Lucy and her team has trained approximately 12,000 people across Europe and their training and coaching programmes have won numerous awards. She is also co-author of the best-selling sales book, ‘Selling for Virgins!’

Recognised for her vitality, creativity and warmth, Lucy is passionate about developing people so that their confidence and natural talents grow and flourish.

The Team

Bridget Grenville Cleave

Bridget works organisations to keep their professional teams motivated and engaged, maintain their resilience during times of change and increase their well-being, particularly when the going gets tough. She uses a strengths based approach and supports individuals to acquire the necessary personal skills, knowledge and behaviours to survive it, and thrive on change. Bridged completed the MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and specialised in the well-being of organisations and professionals.

Bridget is the lead author of 'The Happiness Equation' and is a founder member of the International Positive Psychology Association. She also writes a regular column for the online journal, Positive Psychology News Daily. Bridget holds an MBA (open) and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Jane Holt

Jane has held consulting, coaching and HR roles in a variety of industries spanning the private, public and charity sectors. Her approach is a pragmatic, authentic and flexible one, driven solely by the needs and priorities of the client.  In order to do this, Jane draws upon a variety of well-established methodologies and techniques, including proven tools from the fields of Positive Psychology, NLP and psychometric profiling. Previously a scientist, Jane holds an Advanced Diploma in Coaching & Mentoring (Oxford School of Coaching and Mentoring) and is a Fellow CIPD member.

Lise Lewis

Lise specialises in coaching senior managers, directors and fast trackers who want to develop and realise their personal and leadership potential. She has 25 years experience in people management and development working and coaching at a strategic level and understanding the operational challenges of taking an organisation forward as well as managing day to day business needs. Lise is Vice President of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), Member of the Steering Group for the Global Coaching Community and co-author of the CIPD Coaching Toolkit. Lise trained as a positive psychology coach with Positive Insights in 2008.

Nick Marlow

Having established himself as a Career and Performance Coach in 2000, Nick now works with over 400 individuals each year.  He specialises in working on a 1:1 basis and his pragmatic approach involves: focusing individuals to achieve sustainable change by encouraging and developing options and strategies to achieve business and personal goals; challenging an individual’s thinking and perceptions; clarifying career drivers to encourage better self-understanding and clearer direction; empowering people and equipping them with the self-confidence, competence and motivation to secure future success.  By appreciating and understanding these elements, Nick is able to bring a tangible benefit to both the individual and the organisation.  Nick trained in positive psychology with Positive Insights in 2008.

David Maylor

David established his own coaching business in 2008 (www.davidmaylor.com) having previously worked for Europe’s largest graduate training centre for sales people as a coach and training manager. David qualified as a coach through Newcastle University and is both a Myers Briggs and an NLP practitioner and licensed to administrate the Strengths Deployment Inventory. Amongst many European clients, David coaches leaders at the London Business School and the Oxford Said Business School. He qualified as a positive psychology coach in 2008.

Tracy Meachin Adams

Tracy is one of the UK’s most successful coaches for sales leaders and added positive psychology to her portfolio a year ago, having trained with Positive Insights. As the founder and MD of Dynamic Solutions, Tracy has grown the team to become the preferred partner of choice for large service led brands operating in the UK territories and Europe, www.dsleurope.com.

Lesley O’Neill

Lesley set up her own consultancy in 1998 on taking redundancy from Eagle Star, where she held senior roles in HR, Strategic Marketing, Sales and OD for 14 years.  She coached senior management team members while in employment, and has continued to combine coaching with counselling, psychotherapy, NLP and facilitation in her own consultancy practice.    Lesley’s clients are mainly professionals who either run their own organisations or departments, although she also works with ex-prisoners and referrals from other therapists.  The majority of these clients experience depression, anxiety or stress.  A number of approaches/interventions are used to help the client develop their self-management and relationship-management skills etc. - including MBTI, Seligman's signature strengths, and block clearance therapy.

Andy Roberts

Andy trained first as an economist and worked in the field of Corporate Finance for over 14 years in the UK, US, Japan and Australia. In his second career he re-trained as a Life Coach, Yoga teacher and Massage therapist. He has had extensive experience teaching Wellbeing and Stress Management courses both in small groups and on a one to one basis.

Andy completed a Masters degree in Applied Positive Psychology, which was the first course in this area to be run in Europe. In addition he became an accredited Emotional Intelligence coach and trained with the Centre for Applied Positive Psychology in Strengths Coaching. Andy also runs a wellbeing centre in London, www.breathe-london.com

Ann Sherrington

Ann has run her own coaching and training business for 8 years (www.enablingselling.co.uk) – enabling people who may not see themselves as sales people to sell and enabling managers and team leaders to manage and lead.  Formal coaching study includes the CIPD advanced cert in coaching and mentoring in 2004/5, Advanced Executive Coaching with Human Technics (2005-7) and the NLP practitioners’ certificate in 2007. She has built on this with coaching supervision since 2006. Typical clients include SMEs with up to 100 employees selling specialist, bespoke services and products. Ann trained as a positive psychologist coach with Positive Insights in 2008.
